ESN UWB Pilsen is proud to have hosted its first National Assembly in November 2025. This platform allowed student volunteers from across the network to visit our city, many for the very first time.

ESN UWB Pilsen is proud to have hosted its first National Assembly meeting of ESN Czech Republic in November 2025. This meeting allowed student volunteers from across the network to visit our city, many for the very first time.

National Assembly meetings are the statutory events of ESN CZ. Our section, along with all others in the country, has an obligation to attend these events; every voice and vote helps steer the national level of the network in the right direction. It is also a vital opportunity for section leadership to discuss serious topics affecting their local communities. On top of this, all participants were given the opportunity to write letters partaking in the Amnesty International initiative.

During the National Assembly meeting, we discussed the Strategic Plan of ESN CZ 2026–29 (later approved at YOLOviNA 2026), approved the Financial Results for the 2024/2025 mandate, and changes to the Statutes and Internal Rules of ESN CZ. Finally, we officially passed the torch to ESN UP Olomouc, who will be the Organising Committee of the next (electoral) National Assembly meeting in April (YOLOviNA 2026), where our members will once again be present to represent our section’s voice. We wish them good luck in their venture.

Every national event is a cause for celebration, so our evenings were packed with social activities. On Friday, we organized a city-wide chase in which groups followed clues to locate and apprehend "wanted" persons (members of our Organising Committee) and explored Pilsen along the way. On Saturday, we gathered at Bar U Souseda for community building, games, and a song or two - the perfect way to let off steam after an intense day of plenaries.

National Assembly meetings also provide a platform for our partners. Throughout the weekend, we welcomed representatives from Megabooks, Sonnentor, Timetravels, and EUPeace. We would like to thank the University of West Bohemia for being an incredible collaborator in making this event a reality. Special thanks go to Lenka Pekárková for her help in securing the venues, and to Dr. Magdaléna Rousová, Head of the International Office, for formally welcoming the network to our university grounds.

We are grateful to the network for trusting us with this event and to the Vice President of ESN CZ 2025/2026, Jakub Starý, for guiding us through the process step-by-step. Finally, this event would not have been possible without the amazing Organising Committee composed of ESN UWB Pilsen members and alumni.

The experience was so rewarding that it hasn't scared us off! We have already signed up to host the Community Meetings Spring 2026 at Nečtiny Castle. See you there soon!
